We began our phased return to dentistry on 8th June and are now able to offer routine appointments.
Although we have returned to some normality, the reality of working post lockdown is very different for us all. There are new regulations that we must adhere to as we continue to work through the CV-19 pandemic in order to keep our patients and our staff safe and these include a period of 'fallow time' after some appointments. This means that after some treatments, like fillings, the rooms have to be left vacant for one hour between patients to allow for decontamination purposes.
As you can imagine, this has an effect on the number of patients we can now see during our working week and there may be a wait for these appointments.
Although our opening hours have returned to normal our dentists and hygienists are not working the same hours as pre-lockdown and we may not be able to book dental health examinations and hygiene visits together.

Stay safe and healthy! The Kiln Lane Team Close
Even if you stick to a strict oral hygiene routine, at some point in your life, you may lose a tooth for one reason or another. A missing tooth or gap in your smile can have a significant impact on your appearance, your self-confidence, and the types of food that you can comfortably eat. Although there a few different solutions available, dental implants are now by far the most popular option favoured by our patients here at Kiln Lane Dental in St Helens.
What are dental implants?
Unlike traditional dentures and bridges, dental implants offer a secure and permanent solution. They are typically made from titanium and consist of both an internal screw, that is placed directly into the jaw bone, and an artificial yet realistic tooth.
This artificial tooth is held in place by the screw and it is designed to perfectly match the shape, shade, and size of the rest of your teeth.
When it comes to tooth replacement procedures, titanium dental implants in St Helens are now regarded as the ‘gold standard’. They are a strong and natural-looking substitute, that can be used to replace single or multiple teeth, and they are incredibly easy to clean. Nobody will ever know the difference and they can last for 20 years or more, which means you can finally get your smile and confidence back!

Before and After Dental implants
Our patient chose to have two implants to fill a gap left behind by two missing teeth. We fitted implants to replace the upper partial denture she had been using. She was back smiling in just a few short months thanks to our simple, safe processes.
This lovely lady was struggling with an upper partial denture.
